CYPRIOT DANCE
Being on an animal farm at this moment, tasting the multinational ,delicious, fresh Cypriot meal, I am looking at the tourists , who feel so free to dance.

By my side two Cypriot men are being very caring to me...and while waiting for the professional dancer to come to the stage, I am excited to see the traditional Cypriot dance first time in my life.
Wow, speechless I am, after seeing Dimitris, the main dancer, surrounded by 13 women holding glasses of water to start the dance.
What happens next?
One by one the women place the glass on Dimitris head and as such he makes circles, turning around the crowd, who is applausing him loud and screaming his name in an ecstasy: DIMITRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!!!
Excitement in the air, amazing show and of course, by the end he wins, the glasses stand on his head.
The crowd screams even louder, BRAAAVO DIMITRIS.

THE MUSIC WHICH IS PLAYED IS A GREEK ONE BUT WITH ARABIC, TURKISH FEATURES IN IT.

EVERYBODY IS SOOOO HAPPY AND AS SUCH WE START THE DANCE ALL TOGETHER.
SYRTAKI, AND ME, OF COURSE TAKES PART IN IT TOO, AS THATS MY FAVOURITE DANCE.

I JUST LOVE THE MEDITTERENEAN, BALCANIC WAY OF LIFE, WHERE AND WHEN WHAT YOU FEEL IS WHAT YOU SAY.

EMOTIONS ARE IN THE FOCUS OF LIFE IN THIS LAND...
